OLC NEWSLETTER

November 27, 2023

Dear Parents, Parents prefer text messages over email, so lately I’ve been texting to send out school news. I hope that’s your preference, too. This newsletter contains several seasonal items of interest.

Join us for noon Mass followed by a special event for grandparents or any other VIPs on Tues., Dec. 12, at noon. This is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will have a reenactment of the apparition of the Virgin to St. Juan Diego at Tepeyac Hill, as performed by our 3rd and 4th graders during Mass. Each student in grades K - 8 should invite one grandparent or other VIP to school for Mass, as well as for an interview, photos, refreshments, and for a look at our new school furnishings. VIPs may include an aunt, uncle, older sibling, adult family friend, etc.

All school Mass on Sunday, Dec. 10, at noon. The 5th grade class will serve refreshments after Mass in Halpin Hall. All OLC families are encouraged to join their classmates for this liturgy. Students who are present will receive a one day dress down pass for the following week.

Early release day: Wed, Dec. 6. Students leave 30 minutes early.

All school Christmas Concert: Wed., Dec. 13, 6:30 PM in church.

Our Christmas party is just around the corner, and school families are invited to celebrate with drinks, food, and activities: Fri., Dec 15, 6-9 PM in Halpin Hall.

Roller skating this week is a blast. It’s not too late for your child to skate. Call or see Pedro for details.

Yours in Christ,
