Fundraising and volunteer hours are mandatory for the 2023-2024 school year. There will be three mandatory fundraisers, two in the fall and one in the spring.
Each family is responsible for raising $75 in sponsorship for the annual Walk-a-thon (during October 2023).
Each family will be responsible for selling 13 tickets for $25/each.
Each family will therefore be responsible for selling $260 of tickets in the fall. The raffle will take place in December 2023.
Each family will be responsible for selling 3 boxes of chocolate in the spring.
Each box is $60, therefore each family will be responsible for selling $180 of chocolates.
*Families will be billed for the fundraising balance before each fundraising event to ensure participation.*
Volunteer Service – Parent Commitment:
All families are required to offer 25 hours of volunteer service to the parish and/or school. These hours can be completed in a variety of ways including chaperoning class events, parish clean-up days, coaching, assisting teachers with projects, lunchroom volunteers, Assisting on committees or volunteering for school fundraising events, catechism teachers, and many other opportunities.
Hours not completed will be charged in May 2024 to a family’s FACTS account at $20 per hour.
Volunteers must have a VIRTUS account as part of Safe Environment compliance (virtusonline.org).
Protecting God's Children Volunteer Requirements:
All volunteers 18 and older must complete all Protecting God's Children requirements before volunteering at OLC.
