Each family is required to commit 15 hours of volunteer service to the school or parish. Hours not completed will be charged at a rate of $15 per hour. We have Olympic Day coming up (see below), and we also need parents to help us move furniture the week of June 5. Please call Mr. Infante to volunteer.
Summer School dates are from June 12 to July 13, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 - 2:00. The cost is reduced this year to $300 per child, with no registration fee. For information, email the summer school director, Mr. Sean Knight, at sknight@olc-school.org or call Pedro in the school office.
Olympic Day (outdoor field day) this year will be on Fri., May 26. If you can help us, please email me or call the school. We need parent volunteers to make this day successful.
The last day of Extended Care, before and after school, will be Wed., May 31.
Kindergarten end-of-the-year celebration: Party! Games! Commemorative t-shirts! The magic wand! This will take place on May 31.
Our tamale lunch last Friday was a hit. The funds raised allowed us to provide our hard working teachers with a luncheon today for Teacher Appreciation Week, compliments of parents! Thank you.
Here is the school Mass schedule for the remainder of the year. You are always welcome to join us:
Sun., May 14, 12:00 noon, 8th grade all school Mass
Fri., May 19, confessions, grades 2 - 8 (parents may join us)
Wed, May 24, 9:30, last school Mass of the year with breakfast for 6th and 8th graders and their parents
Important dates:
Sunday, May 14: Sunday Mass at noon for all school families, grades PK - 8. This Mass is sponsored by the 8th grade, but students from all grade levels are encouraged to attend. As an extra incentive, students who come to this Mass will receive one dress down pass.
Wednesday, May 17: Early release day
Friday, May 26: last day of school for 8th graders
Wednesday, May 31: 8th grade graduation in church at 7:00 PM
