Dec. 17 weekly news letter

Dear Parents,

“For a child has been born for us, A son given to us; Authority rests upon his shoulders; And he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) On behalf of all the teachers and staff here at OLC, I would like to wish all of you a blessed and merry Christmas. May the light of our Creator guide us in the new year ahead. Children always enjoy looking at Christmas manger scenes. Here are some “Visiting the Manger” activities for children from Loyola Press: https://catechistsjourney.loyolapress.com/2021/11/traveling-with-the-shepherd-this-christmas/

Do you want to change your tuition payment date? We can do that for you, but we must have ten business days advance notice. Email your request to finance@olc-school.org

Tutoring after school: We will be offering free tutoring after school from 3:00 - 4:00 for students in grades 1 - 7. Teachers will select students who need extra help in math or in reading. If you believe that your child needs remediation in these subject areas, please contact your child’s teacher now. Tutoring begins the week of Jan. 10.

We hope that everyone is returning to OLC next school year! On Feb. 10 we will automatically re-enroll your child and apply the registration fee to your FACTS account. If you do not plan on registering for the 2022-23 school year, be sure to contact our marketing director, Ms. Candelaria Rosales, no later than Feb. 5. The registration fee is non-refundable. 8th graders wrote Christmas cards expressing their thoughts and prayers to the victims of the devastating tornadoes in Kentucky. Thank you to our substitute teacher, Mr. Glenn Palloway, for inspiring students with this project.
