Ms. Sato Venegas studied in Japan for college before transferring to the University of California, Davis, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Art Studio. She enjoys sharing both her love of art and Japanese language with students.
She has accumulated over 10 years of experience teaching Japanese to toddlers on Saturdays at the Japanese School in Arlington Heights, where she developed creative, age-appropriate lessons that blended language, songs, and crafts. She now teaches Japanese at Triton College Continuing Education and also tutors Japanese in the evenings.
At Our Lady of Charity, what she enjoys most is the opportunity to work with children of all ages. Outside the classroom, Ms. Sato Venegas is married to an avid Chicago White Sox fan, has two children—one in college and one in graduate school—and loves spending time with dogs.
